Galvin Cup
Caulry had a narrow but well merited one point win over near neighbours and senior side Maryland in a Galvin Cup tie played in Tang last Sunday morning. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half scores were difficult to come by and Caulry were somewhat wayward in their shooting when only putting three points on the scoreboard during that period. Maryland defending well got an opportunist goal when a long speculative ball deceived all  and ended up in the back of the net leaving the score at half-time Caulry 0-3, Maryland 1-0.
Despite playing against the strong breeze in the second half Caulry began to dominate proceedings at mid-field thus minimising Maryland's threat up front. Trailing by a point mid-way through the second period, the turning point came when Caulry were awarded a penalty which was converted by Alan Carroll. Despite a rally by Maryland in the last ten minutes Caulry held firm and were deserving winners on a final scoreline of Caulry 1-6, Maryland 1-5.

County Minor League
Caulry minors had mixed fortunes during the week losing to Garrycastle and beating Mullingar Shamrocks. Caulry got off to a slow start against Garrycastle and were trailing by 3 points after 8 minutes. The first point came when A Daly found A Nugent with a good pass and Alan opened Caulrys account. A further point from A Daly left the score 4 points to 2. Caulry then conceded a bizare own goal when a ball cleared from the end line rebounded off a defenders back and into the net. Garrycastle quickly added a further 1-01 to increase their lead to 9 points. Caulry upped their game and scored 1-02 without reply to leave the halfyime score 2.05 to 1-04.
The second half was evenly contested with Caulry regristering 3-01 to Garrycastles 2-04. However it was not enough to bridge the gap.
