Intermediate Championship
The Championship season gets underway for Caulry this weekend, when our Intermediates will be attempting to go one better than last year after being narrowly defeated by a point in the County Final.  We take on Tang in a first round tie on Sunday (April 21st) at 2pm in Tubberclair as part of a double header.
The Club are requesting as many supporters as possible to attend the game and cheer on the boys in red.

Caulry U/16s went down narrowly by a point to Shandonagh last Monday evening in Shandonagh in a Div 2 League game. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half, Caulry failed to build up a decent lead. However in the second half, against the breeze they had a number of chances to win the game but the tendancy to go for goal when a point was the easier option proved the deciding factor.

Team: Derek Shortall, Darren Hynds, Aaron Roarke, Charlie Parker, Dylan Mullarney, Cristian Jocker, Sean Clinton, Patrick Sleator, Patrick McaMahon, Sylvestor Coughlan, Sean O'Neill, Stephen Connolly, Peter O'Kelly-Lynch, Stephen Byrne, Jack Connaughton.
Sub Used : Neil Fleming for Sean Clinton ( inj).

Last week Caulry U14’s had a hectic schedule with two league games, on Monday and Thursday against the combination side of Maryland & Tang, and Tubberclair respectively, and on Saturday they played two games in the Féile blitz against the Downs and Millmore Gaels.

Monday’s game against Maryland & Tang was a one sided affair with the opposition running out easy winners on the night. However, there were positives to be taken from the game with Dylan Lowry, Eoin Shortall and Lee Guinan playing excellent football on the night and never giving up.Thursday’s game against Tubberclair was a more balanced affair and the Caulry lads worked tirelessly throughout putting some nice moves together. They ran out winners on the night with standout performances from Christian Stephens, Neil Clinton, Ciálan Dollard, Colin Murphy, Sam Nolan and Sean Woods.

On Saturday Caulry travelled to Ballymore to take part in the Féile blitz, playing the Downs first. The Caulry lads worked hard but came out second best to a strong Downs team. Best for Caulry were Eugene Costello, Sean Woods, Aaron Fallon and Adam Mullins.Their second game was against the local amalgamation side Millmore Gaels. The exerts of the week’s football was beginning to creep up on the Caulry players and the fresher opposition took a strong foothold on the game going in at half time with a sizable lead, however this Caulry team never gives up and in the second half they found reserves, to take this game to Millmore and the constant pressure paid dividends with two last minute goals clinching a two point win. Prominent players in this game were Darren Browne, Lee Guinan, Liam Malynn, Liam Doyle, Rian Rasmussen and Sean Fox.

Panel for the week: Christian Stephens, Jack Sheehan, Kevin Donohoe, Darren Browne, Neil Clinton, Eugene Costello, Ciálan Dollard, Liam Doyle, Aaron Fallon, Sean Fox, Aaron Ganley, Ciaran Geoghegan, Lee Guinan, Dylan Lowry, Jack Malone, Ryan Malone, Liam Malynn, Adam Mullins, Colin Murphy, Sam Nolan, Rian Rasmussen, Eoin Shortall, Sean Woods.
