Intermediate Championship
Caulry Intermediate squad opened their Championship season with a comprehensive victory over near neighbours Tang in Tubberclair last Sunday, on a scoreline of Caulry 1-13 Tang 1-5. Caulry dominated the game from start to finish and held Tang scoreless until the final quarter of the game.
Next up for Caulry is Ballinagore which is scheduled for Sunday, June 9th. (See full match report elsewhere in newspaper).
Junior Championship
Caulry Junior squad played their first game in this year's Junior Championship when entertaining a strong St Lomans side in the Park last Friday evening. Despite conceding a goal mid-way through the first half, Caulry went in at the break only five points down on a scoreline of 1-6 to 0-4 points. However, a goal blitz by St Lomans early in the second half which yielded three goals in quick succession virtually ended the game as a contest and St Lomans ran out winners on a scoreline of 4-11 to 0-9 points. In fairness Caulry were short a few players on the day and hopefully there  will be a better performance next time out when they play Athlone on Friday week ( May 3rd).
