Caulry GAA PRO Notes - 3rd March 2013

posted 5 Mar 2013, 13:54 by Caulry Admin
County Minor League Div 2
Caulry minors kicked off their season with a draw against Kilbeggan / St Josephs. Caulry dominated the first half but didn’t convert the domination into scores. Some bad options and speculative shots cost Caulry, and while they scored 1-06, with better decision making could have doubled that score. The half time score was Caulry 1-06 Kilbeggan / St Josephs 0-03. Caulry started the second half well and with H Allen scoring early. A Daly finished off a good move with another point to go 8 points clear. Further points from H Allen (2), R Hickey, S Byrne, A Roarke (2) and the concession of two goals left Caulry 7 points up and in control with 10 minutes to go. However Caulry failed to score for the remainder of the match and were lucky to hold out for a draw after conceding a further 1-04.
