Caulry GAA PRO Notes - 8th April 2013

ACFL Division 5
Caulry hosted Milltownpass in an entertaining match last Sunday morning in round 5 of the ACFL Division 5.Two evenly matched sides went in at the break on level  terms on a
scoreline of 1-4 to 0-7 the goal coming from Micky Fitzpatrick for Caulry. The second half started with Milltownpass gaining the upperhand and going four points up at one stage but a Peter Smyth (inset) goal brought Caulry back into the game and the final quarter was closely contested with a Peter Smyth converted free in the dying moments giving Caulry a share of the spoils on a scoreline of Caulry 2-9 Milltownpass 1-12.

Junior Championship
The Caulry Junior side commence their Junior Championship campaign with a home tie against St Lomans which is fixed for Friday April 19th in  the Park with a 6.30pm throw-in. Caulry, similar to  last year, are drawn  in a section with second teams from other clubs in a round-robin series of games with the top two clubs entering the Junior Championship Quarter Finals proper.  
 
Intermediate Championship
Caulry continued their preparations for the upcoming Intermediate Championships with a worthwhile challenge game against senior club side Bunbrosna last Saturday evening in the Park.
 
Caulry U/10s
Caulry Under 10's played their first games of the season against 
Kilbeggan in Streamstown on Sunday last. Considering the extreme cold and
as it was the first game of the season there was a good turn out from Caulry and
the football was of a very high standard. We played two games winning one and
losing the second one narrowly. 
The Caulry panel was as follows; T Cloonan, S Baker, S lawless, J Buckley, B Claffey, J Berry, D Doyle, A Lynam, R Casey, A Malynn, A Doyle, A O Grady, C Mc Knight, A Lynch, C Paul, A
Dunning.
Training continues next weekend, all players will recieve details by text on Friday.

No winner of the Jackpot (€ 18,600) in the draw on April 2nd. Numbers drawn were : 1,6,16 & 23. €30 Prizewinners were : Padraig Browne, Amy Fox, Lilly Earley, James & Alice, Tricia & Kitty. Seller's Prize : James Hatton

U/14 Feile na nOg : Group A :-  Caulry, The Downs, Multifarnham, Millmore Gaels Saturday April 13th at 11am in Ballymore.
