Performance of the year in the Intermediate Quarter-Final versus Tuberclair -

Caulry Intermediate team gave their best performance of the year to-date when they overcame a determined Tubberclair side by 1-20 to 0-12 in a Quarter-Final tie in this year's Intermediate Championship in Moate last Sunday evening. This was a do-or-die game for both sides and Caulry rose to the occasion banishing the disappointment of the previous week's one point loss to Milltownpass which deprived them of a direct Semi-final spot. See the full match report elsewhere in this newspaper.

Caulry's reward is a Semi-final tie against the the winners of the other Group section, Ballynacargy, to be played on Saturday week, September 21st in Cusack Park at 5.30pm

Under 14s
Caulry U14’s bowed out of this year’s Division 2 Championship at the semi-final stage on Saturday last in the Park. In a very entertaining game, opponents Shandonagh emerged victorious on a score line of 3-07 to 3-03. Despite missing three players due to injury, the Caulry lads lifted their game and gave a display which they can be proud of. Thanks to the entire U14 panel for their commitment and dedication throughout the year. Many thanks also to the very vocal home support on the day and to all parents for their help and support throughout the year.

Ladies Football
Delvin/St. Pauls 3-7 Caulry 3-6
It was all to play for on Sat 31st Aug in Clonmellon in the Ladies U/14 Co. Semi-final as a very strong Delvin team came up against a determined bunch of Caulry girls.Holly Maloney secured the first goal of the game for Caulry within minutes of the throw in. Delvin quickly matched that score and by half time Caulry led 1-4 to 1-3. Caulry's half back line of Emma Healy, Aisling Gaynor and Isobel Hamilton were a force to be reckoned with as they made play very difficult for the Delvin forwards. Britney Maguire and Courtney Cleary made midfield their own by winning most of the possession. However Delvin fought back hard by scoring two goals in succession, Leah Quigley`s last minute goal and Britney Maguire`s fine point left Caulry 1 point down at the final whistle. Well done to all of the team who put in an outstanding performance.
