Minor Div 2 Quarter-Final
Caulry Minors traveled to the north of the County on saturday last to take on St Michaels in Castletown/Finea in a Quarter-Final tie in Div 2 of the County Minor Championship. This was going to be a tough obstacle to climb from the off but Caulry settled into the game early and had four  well executed points on the scoreboard after 15 mins before St Michael's opened their account with a point. The remainder of the half was evenly balanced but following a great Caulry move from the back, David Brookes slotted home the first goal of the game to leave Caulry leading 1-5 to 0-2 pts at the break.
Playing with a strong breeze in the second half coupled with a torrential downpour which lasted several minutes St Michael's clawed back the lead with some well taken points and came within 2 points of Caulry at one stage. However Caulry who were always dangerous on the break executed two more goals worked from the back and well executed by Eric Fallon and Andrew O'Sullivan respectively, and in the end ran out worthy winners after a tough encounter on a scoreline of Caulry 3-8 St Michaels 0-11.
