Intermediate Championship Semi Final - Caulry and Tang must meet again.
They say old habits die hard, and if this is true, Caulry will have to win the Intermediate championship the hardest possible route following this latest semi-final draw against Tang in Cusack Park, Mullingar on Saturday evening last. Following their quarter-final replay, this is turning out to be almost an exact replica of last year’s championship with a series of draws and replays.  However ‘the glass is still half full’ and hopefully our lads can summon the necessary resilence and performance to reach another final, under the Pairc Chiarian Athlone lights at 8pm this Friday night.

Ladies Under 14 Football
On Saturday 20th September Caulry`s U14 team travelled to Milltown to play Clann Gaels in their first ever County final. The Gaels dominated the first half and with a few early scores that left Caulry three goals down at one point. True to their form Caulry picked up the pace and by half time they were only four points behind. The second half saw Caulry coming back strong to a now very tired Clann Gaels, some great scores from our forwards and midfield now meant that caulry had a two point lead, however with just a minute to full time whistle and some questionable decisions by the referee Clann Gaels scored the goal that sealed the fate of the Caulry team.
Final score: Clann Gaels 5-1 Caulry 3-6
A special thanks to the coaches, mentors and the parents that travel tirelessly all season to training and matches. We hope to see everyone back again next year.

Under 13 League
Caulry 5-5
Shannon Gaels (Maryland-Tang) 4-6
Caulry and the visitors Maryland-Tang played out a keenly contested league fixture on Wednesday evening. The home team made the early running to go into a commanding lead, before the combination side made a late rally to keep the score line close at the final whistle. This was probably Caulry’s best performance this year, with excellent individual and team displays throughout and they were deserving winners at the finish. Conor Paul made a string of excellent saves, complemented by long kick-outs. Colm Shortall was a tower of strength in defence and was ably supported by Adam O Grady and James Carey. Roan Sweeney’s two goals and general play were top drawer. Jamie Conlon continued his excellent form for the year, and Shannon Gaels were unable to contain the lively Senan Baker.
Team: Conor Paul, Adam Grady, Shane Lawless, Colm Shortall (1-0), James Carey, Ruairi Casey, Luke Buckley, Roan Sweeney, Jamie Conlon, Olan Healy (0-2), Adam Doyle, Senan Baker (1-2), Adam Dunning, Sean Murphy (1-0), Alan Malynn (0-1), Oisin Murphy, Ciaran Gaynor, Conor McKnight, Tom Cloonan
