Caulry GAA PRO Notes 23rd Sept 2013 -

Intermediate Championship Semi-Final -
In a dramatic finish at Cusack Park last Saturday evening, Caulry underwent a sensational Lazarus-like recovery when trailing by eight points mid-way through the second-half to grab a dramatic injury time equaliser against Ballynacargy on a scoreline of 2-13 a-piece. The re-play is fixed for this Saturday, September 28th at Tang with a 2pm throw-in and a vast improvement is required by the men in red-and-white if a final spot is to be secured for the second year running. The Club are calling for a huge local support to be in attendance for what is anticipated to be a dramatic semi-final replay. See full match report elsewhere in this newspaper.

Under 12s
Caulry suffered their second defeat in the Garrycastle U/12 Tournament when going down to Tyrrellspass on Wednesday evening last in the Park. Caulry had over seventeen wides and enjoyed major territorial advantage in this game, but still managed to lose as the visitors scored on nearly every occasion that they ventured into our half. Hopefully our young players will learn valuable lessons from such an encounter. Good displays, however, came from Daniel Buckley, Glen Carolan and Ciarian Gaynor.
