- Intermediate Cup Final -
Caulry 1-11 Coralstown/Kinnegad 0-10
Well done to the Caulry Intermediate squad following their well earned four point victory in the Intermediate Cup Final played last Friday evening against senior side
Coralstown/Kinnegad in Kinnegad. This knock-out competition is for teams in Division 2 of this year's All-County League and having already won the league itself three weeks ago giving Caulry Division 1 league football next year, the Cup win was an added bonus and thus ending the year for Caulry on a very positive note and a great confidence boost for 2014.

The game itself was a tight affair but an exciting contest and in the first half with Caulry edging it slightly a strong finish by Coralstown/Kinnegad gave the home side a one point advantage going in at the break on a scoreline of  0-6 points to 0-5. Ten minutes into the second half the homeside stretched their lead by two points and were looking the stronger but the great resolve of Caulry as has been evident in all their games this year shone through in the last fifiteen minutes of the game with some lovely points from play by Jack O'Kelly-Lynch and Ernie Buckley and three great points from play by sharp-shooter David Brookes (pic on right) gave Caulry a slender lead and the winning score a fine goal by John Maguire in the last few minutes of play sealed a well deserved win for Caulry.
