Intermediate Championship
Unfortunately Caulry bowed out of this year's Intermediate Football Championship when going down to Tang in a Quarter-final tie last Saturday evening in Moate on a scoreline of 1-7 to 0-7 points. After a very slow start Caulry found themselves trailing by 1-3 to no score after 15 minutes  following some good play by Tang which included an opportunist goal which looked like it was going to drop short of the goalkeeper but swerved to the left and ended in the back of the net. Caulry rallied before half-time and clawed back 3 points to go in at the interval trailing by 1-3 to 0-3. Raising the momentum in the second half with a couple of well taken points by Alan Fitzpatrick Caulry tried in vain to gain the upperhand but Tang responded with some well taken points of their own to run out winners by a margin of 3 points.
Team & Scorers : John Madden, Ben Moran, Kevin Maguire (see picture below), Ernie Buckley, Jack O'Meara, Damien Dolan, Declan Donohoe, Gary Flanagan, Alan Fitzpatrick (0-2), Eoghan Grennan, John Maguire (0-1), Johnny Dolan, Mark Fitzpatrick, Peter Smyth 0-4(f), Andrew O'Sullivan.
Subs Used : Robbie Kenny for Mark Fitzpatrick (h/t), David Brookes for Declan Donohoe h/t (inj), Keith Mc Menamen for Jack O'Meara, Evan Roarke for Andrew O'Sullivan (inj).
