Strictly Come Dancing

Over the past number of weeks 16 men and 16 women have been going through some intensive training sessions at various locations in preparation for the clubs major fundraising effort ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ event on Sunday March 16th in the Radisson Blu Hotel Athlone. While some males in particular heretofore may not have been noted for their prowess on the dance floor, the old fashioned side step and the X-Factor added by the ladies, means we are in for some surprise routines on the night according to ‘reliable sources’. We encourage as much support as possible for all our dancers for their selfless dedication to the cause. Those with now enhanced reputations and fleetness of foot include the following:

(Men): Pat McCormack, Thomas Ledwith, Jason Walker, Matt Conlon, Matt Hamilton, Ger O Kelly Lynch, Frankie Keena, Vincent Geoghegan, Paddy McMenamin, Badia Zaidi, Vincent Lowry, Donie Malone, John Fleming,  Allan Fox, Declan Donoghue, Eoin Grennan.

(Ladies): Niamh Hanevy, Charlene McCormack, Michelle Francis, Claire Carroll, Mary Martin, Mags Allen Lynch, Joan Scully, Joan Parker, Terri Anne Stuart Trainor, Sandra Gaynor, Elaine Denby, Aishling Claffey, Karen Dunning, Sinead Allen, Claire Fitzpatrick, Dypmna Pettit

Good Wishes

It was good to see long -time supporter, Sean Egan back home after his recent hospitalisation. We wish him a full recovery and hope to see at the upcoming matches.

The club extends its sympathy to Margaret Egan and her family on the death of her brother, Tony Molloy.

County Players

Well done to Kevin Maguire and Damian Dolan who were part of the Westmeath team that played Cork in Division 1 of the National League on Sunday last. It is a great boost to our club and all young aspiring players to see two such talented and dedicated players being rewarded in playing at the highest level for their county.
