A.C.F.L. Division 5
Caulry were away to Milltownpass on Sunday morning last in the Division 5 All County League. The team played very well from the start and built up a commanding lead with Robbie Hickey, Stephen Woods and Robbie Ryan all in top scoring form. It was great to see Declan Donoghue back from his injury woes and he gave a man of the match performance, ably backed by a very attach minded Ernie Buckley and Killian Healy on the flanks. Well done to all, including the subs who did very well when introduced.

Sympathy
It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death last week of Tim O Hara. Tim was a stalwart member of the all-conquering Junior Championship team of 1957 which played 39 games unbeaten in all competitions that year. Despite living and working in Dublin for over 45 years, the Late Tim rarely missed a Caulry match or function.
When you got the ‘pat on the back and well done’ after a game irrespective of the result, you knew it was genuine from one of life’s true gentlemen. Following the death of his beloved wife seven years ago, Tim was only too happy to return back to his roots in recent times and live out his final chapter.
Tim’s large funeral and guard of honour provided by the club, were testimony to the esteem he was held by all privileged to have come into contact with him.
Our sympathies to his family on their great loss.  Ar deis de go raibh an ainm.
