posted 3 Mar 2014, 07:59 by Caulry Admin
League Division 1
Caulry’s  opening League Division 1 match with Athlone was postponed for the second time in as many weeks due to unplayable pitch on Sunday last.

Strictly Fun Dancing
Caulry’s fund raising event  ‘Strictly Fun Dancing’ event on March 16th in Radisson Blu Athlone is fast approaching.  Tickets for this limited seating event are going fast also. If you havn’t yet managed to secure one, you may purchase same from any of the dancers, Caulry Executive committee members. The club is also very grateful to our many sponsors for the occasion and if anyone is interested in any form of sponsorship, please feel free to contact the club executive. The dancers are continuing their intensive training schedule and this has all the hallmarks of a ‘real county final feel’ at this stage.

County Under 21
Hard luck to Westmeath Under 21 footballers who lost narrowly to Longford on Wednesday’s last replay in Lakepoint Park, Mullingar. Caulry were represented on the team by Michael McMahon.

County Senior Team
Kevin Maguire and Damian Dolan were part of the Westmeath senior squad which unfortunately went down heavily away to Derry on Sunday last as the Division 1 lessons continue.

Westmeath play All-Finalists Mayo in Cusack Park, Mullingar and there is a limited number of Free Admission tickets for Under 16s available from club mentors or through the schools. This is a great opportunity for our youngsters to see top grade football on our door step and get behind the Westmeath team.

Club Lotto
Congratulations to Brendan O Flaherty who was the lucky winner of the €7000 Jackpot prize in the recent  Caulry Lotto draw held on 24th February last. Brendan has been a great supporter of the club over the years and so is a very deserving winner.
Numbers drawn were 3,5,8,28
Weekly winners of the €30 were: Anthony Flynn, Bernie Hanevy, Packie Allen, James Fox, Emma, Hannah & Cian Malone.
Sellers prize €30: Michael McMahon.
Next Jackpot is €2000 on March 3rd.

The club extends its sympathy to Ann Smyth and her family on the recent death of her sister, Philomena Hand, Kingscourt, Co Cavan.
