Division 4 ACFL
Caulry 0-10
Ballinagore 1-15
Caulry travelled to Ballinagore on Thursday last for their latest Division 4 ACFL fixture and went down very tamely to the home side.
Ballinagore raced into a four point lead with a well-taken point and an early penalty. A pointed free from Alan Carroll got Caulry off the mark in the 10th minute. Caulry narrowed to gap to two points with a point from Stephen Woods. However, the home side made a crucial burst on the quarter hour mark with a quick scoring burst, which yielded 0-6. Another pointed free from Alan Carroll left seven points between the sides at the interval, on a score line of 1-7 to 0-3.
The second half continued in the same vein.  The third quarter of the game saw Caulry at their best with points from Alan Daly and Micky Fitzpatrick and a range of 45’s from Eoin Fox. Late points from Jack O’Kelly Lynch and Keith McMenamin meant the match finished on a final sore line of 1-15 to 0-10.
Team & Scorers: Cillian Nagle, Jack O’Kelly Lynch (0-1), Pat Buckley, Conor Dolan, Harry Hughes, Eoin Fox (0-2, 2 45’s), Loughlin Casey, Ernie Buckley, Paddy Sleator, Gavin Byrne, Robbie Hickey, Stephen Woods (0-2), Eric Fallon, Micky Fitzpatrick (0-1), Alan Carroll (0-2, 2f)
Subs: Ciaran Allen for Loughlin Casey, Nicky Killane for Paddy Sleator, Keith McMenamin (0-1) for Gavin Byrne, Sean Clinton for Robbie Hickey, Alan Daly (0-1, 1f) for Stephen Woods, Hugh Allen for Eric Fallon
Under 12
Caulry 4-14
Maryland/Tang 2-09
On Wednesday last Caulry Under 12 footballers defeated Maryland/Tang on a score line of Caulry 4-14 Maryland/Tang 2-09. The match was held in The Park in terrible weather with strong winds and heavy showers, despite the weather conditions both teams played attractive football in a high scoring game. Caulry won the game because of their ability to move the ball fast and take the scoring opportunities that came their way.
Team & Scorers: Adam Doyle, Adam Dunning(0-05), Alan Malynn(1-01), Conor Paul, James Buckley, Shane Lawless, Senan Baker(1-04), Ruairi Casey(1-01), Sean Murphy(0-01), Tom Cloonan, Alan Lynam, Ben Claffey, Daniel Doyle, Joey Berry(1-00), Paul Hogan(0-01), Harry Stuart Treanor, Andrew Stuart Trainor(0-01), Tadhg Baker, Patrick Kenny.

Under 16 League Division 1

Caulry 4-6

Athlone 4-12

Caulry hosted Athlone in this latest round of league fixtures on Monday week last. Despite playing against a very strong wind, the Shannon siders were quickly into their stride and lead 3-6 to 1-1 at the break. This followed a similar unfortunate pattern as in the previous outing for the home side. However, the second half was a completely different affair, with Colin Murphy and Sean Fox taking control and gradually Caulry picked off the scores to leave a very competitive finale. Once again, however, we left ourselves with too much to do and will look to eradicate the first half non-performance in future games. For Caulry Ciaran Geoghegan was very comfortable in his first outing between the sticks. In front of him Aaron Fallon, Jack Sheehan and Dylan Lowry were excellent all through, as was Darcy Lawless in the pick of the attack. Both Colin Murphy and Sean Fox, were at their best in the second half and things might have been different had they exerted the same influence in the opening period.

Team & Scorers: Ciaran Geoghegan, Aaron Fallon, Jack Sheehan, Eoin Shortall, Dylan Lowry (1-0), Sam Nolan, Sean Woods, Sean Fox, Colin Murphy (2-2), Shane Cleary, Lee Guinan, Paddy McHugh, Darcy Lawless (1-2), Liam Doyle (0-1), Liam Malynn (0-1).

Subs used: Eugene Costello, Thomas Dunning
