Caulry GAA PRO Notes 4th April

Division 2 League 
Caulry entertained St Lomans in the fourth series of games in Division 2 of the County League last Sunday. Played in Castledaly, Caulry opened the scoring with two Peter Smyth frees but ten successive points by St Lomans left Caulry trailing at half-time by six points on a scoreline of 0-10 to 0-4. Despite converting two goals in the second period (including a penalty) Caulry had to give best to a young St Lomans side who ran out winners on a scoreline of St Lomans 0-16  Caulry 2-6.

Caulry U12’s played their first game of the season with a challenge against The Downs. Two eleven aside games were played and despite the wet conditions some entertaining football was served up. Caulry’s first game in phase one of the League is due to be played on Wednesday 6th April at 6:45pm away to Rosemount. Would all Parents/Guardians please reply to U12 texts to aid mentors confirming numbers.

Caulry played Moate and Kilbeggan/St Josephs in the blitz group stage of Feile na nGael in Moate last Tuesday evening and having been pipped at the post by a late Moate goal in the opening game, a stronger Kilbeggan/St Josephs side defeated Caulry in the second game and went on to win out the Group.
On Thursday night following a competitive game in Tubberclair, the homeside defeated  Caulry in the fourth round of the County League.   
Leinster Schools 
Well done  to Caulry players Evan Roarke and Andrew O'Sullivan who were members of the  Marist College team who qualified for the Leinster Junior A Football Final  recently when defeating Dublin side Ard Scoil Ris in the semi-final.
Division 5 League : Away to Killucan, Tuesday, April 12th at 7pm
U/12s : Away to Rosemount Wednesday, April 6th at 6.45pm
U/16s : Home to Moate Monday, April 11th at 6.45pm

Caulry Fundraising Initiative 
Caulry GAA are organising  a Fundraising initiative to raise monies for on-going  & essential activities in the club. 
This will involve a Scrap Metal Collection exercise over the next few weeks. All Household & Farm Items with a metal content will be accepted such as empty food Cans, Bicycles, Boilers, Radiators, Tractors, Cars, Electric motors, Engines, Gates, Batteries etc. 
Collection is Free, and club members will be calling around to all houses in the Mount Temple/Balyin area over the coming weeks. If interested in donating any of the above, please contact one of the following people to arrange collection.
