Ladies through the Under 14 County Final after great win against Tyrrellspass.

On Tuesday 2nd September Caulry played host to their county semi-final against Tyrrellspass. This was to be a hard fought game from start to finish as the visitors really put it up to our girls in the first half giving them a two point lead 3-1 to Caulry`s 1-5 at the half time whistle.
The second half was a whole new game for Caulry as they starting chalking up the scores through excellent teamwork and skill.  Caulry`s wall of defence prevented Tyrellspass from scoring anything in the second half which resulted in Caulry winning on a scoreline of 3-12 to 3-1. Every member of the u14 panel played their part in getting to this stage in the competition. This was a great well deserved victory for the Caulry Girls after their defeat last year by one point in a semi-final against Delvin/St. Paul`s.

Caulry Team: Aoibhinn McKnight, Orlaith Holloway, Jasmine Maloney, Annalise D.Peredo, Ruth Martin, Holly Maloney, Alison Carolan, Aishling Gaynor, Britney Maguire, Emma Healy, Lauren Claffey, Aishling Daly, Emma Farrell, Shannon Murray, Leah Quigley, Sarah Lawless, Molly Connaughton, Sinead Muldoon, Rachel Hughes, Zara McCormack, Therese Costello.

Under 14 County final is fixed for Sat 20th September time and venue to be confirmed, please come and support this great bunch of girls.

Intermediate Championship
Caulry had a tough and keenly contested encounter with Ballymore in the Intermediate football championship quarter-final on Saturday evening last in Cusack Park Mullingar. (see report elsewhere in this paper). At the end, both sides might have been happy to have another chance in the replay on Sunday next. Throw-in is at 1pm at headquarters again. Hopefully our lads can hit form and set the agenda in order to play their ‘own game.’ If they do they will qualify for another semi-final, if they don’t, another long day is in store against a battling Ballymore side.

Under 14 Football
Caulry and Garrycastle had a good challenge on Thursday evening in preparation for their various championship encounters. Garrycastle had the better of the earlier exchanges, but our lads showed great character to turn a thirteen point deficit into a two point winning margin in the final third. Thanks to Garrycastle for good work-out.

Under 12 Football
Our Under 12 team played Mullingar Shamrocks on Wednesday evening last in Springfield. The absence of some of our stronger players proved crucial, as we gave best to a good home side.

Caulry minors play Rosemount in the championship away this Wednesday at 6.30pm.
Caulry U14 play Coralstown-Kinnegad in the championship at home this Thursday at 6.30pm.
