Intermediate Football Final

Heartbreak last Sunday as our boys went down by a solitary point to North-Westmeath side CFCW in the final of this year's Intermediate Football Championship played before a large local support in Cusack Park, Mullingar. A combination of a number of missed scoring opportunities coupled with a young and inexperienced side was a bridge too far for Caulry this time around.

However well done to the lads who put up a tremendous fight on the day and who have given their all this season in the attempt to win the Intermediate crown. This is a very young group of players, with the starting fifteen on Sunday averaging 23 of age, seven of whom are still under 21. The future is very bright for these young lads and thoughts of next year's bid to make amends for this year is already very much on their minds.

A big thanks from the Club goes to Brendan and his selectors for the massive effort they put in this year, to all the committee and back-room support team, to our main sponsor Egans of Mount Temple and our other sponsors and most importantly to all our supporters who turned up in huge numbers on the day to support our boys in red-and-white.
