Caulry GAA PRO Notes Feb 27th

Division 2 League 
Caulry had their second outing in Division 2 of the Co League at home to Tang last Saturday. Again fielding without a number of regulars this was a close fought game. Leading at half-time by a point the second half was in the balance right up until the final whistle and despite Peter Smyth converting a few well taken frees, Tang edged out Caulry at the final whistle by a point on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-10.

Subs : Eoghan Grehan for Philip Dully (HT), Eddie Daly for Anthony Allen (45mins).
Minor League
The Minors had their first Division 2 league game of the season when they took on Killucan last Sunday in the Park. After a very entertaining and close fought game Caulry emerged on top at the final whistle with 3 points to spare on a scoreline of Caulry 2-11 Killucan 3-5.

U/14 v Moate All-whites in the Park on Saturday, March 5th at 11am.
Well done to Ben Moran, Kevin Maguire and Joe McMahon (see picture below) who were involved in the Westmeath U/21 squad who defeated Laois in the Leinster U/21 Championship in Port Laoise last week. They now go on to play Offaly in the next round On March 9th.
Leinster Colleges Semi-final
Best of luck to John Maguire, Jack O'Meara, Jack O'Kelly-Lynch, Eric Fallon, Ryan Browne and Shane Nugent who will represent Moate CS this Saturday in Mullingar at 2pm in the semi-final of the Leinster Colleges Senior A Championship versus the renowned St Pat's of Navan.
Speedy Recovery
The Caulry club wish a speedy recovery to Michael Ganley (Minor Chairman Maryland/Tang) following his recent and unfortunate accident.
Caulry wish to extend the club's deepest sympathies to the Hickey, Lawless and Muldoon families following their recent bereavements.
