Caulry Ladies "Start of New Year" Meeting

posted 24 Jan 2016, 10:36 by Roisin Allen

Our start of the year meeting was held on Friday 22nd January in the Caulry clubhouse. 2015 was another great year for Caulry Ladies, with our U-8's & U-10's partaking in various blitzes, our U-12's reaching a county semi-final and our U-14's & U-16's both playing in county finals.

Huge efforts have been made to promote and expand our club and membership base. We now have a total of 107 members registered with the LGFA – almost double last years members – A special thanks to our PRO Roisin Allen for all her hard work this year including designing flyers, booklets and regularly updating our Facebook page!!

Mary Martin, chairperson thanked all the trainers/mentors/helpers for giving their time and experience voluntarily, without whom there would be no Caulry Ladies; Richie Maloney for very generously sponsoring a set of jerseys for our U-16 team and also for treating them to Supermac's after their county final; Ray McSharry for very kindly treating the U-14 team to Supermac's after their county final; The 12 syndicate members who contribute weekly to the Westmeath County Lotto, this goes towards payment of our €500 club levy to the Westmeath Ladies County Board; The county board delegates who patiently attend monthly county board meetings; Michelle Baker for organising and ordering Caulry Ladies gear this year, once again it has proved very successful with most of our members proudly wearing their new gear; All parents /guardians for their help & support this year, we are hopeful it will continue in 2016; Last but not least, a very special thank you to CAULRY GAA for their massive support in 2015 and for the sporting opportunities they are providing for the girls of Baylin and Mount Temple.

The following committee was elected at the meeting; Chairperson: Mary Martin; Vice Chairperson:Anne Lawless; Secretary: Jackie Killane; Vice Secretary: Louise Dollard; Registrar: Mary Quigley; PRO: Roisin Allen; Injury Fund Co-Ordinator: Louise Dollard; Children's Officer: Mary Quigley.
