Flanagan the Saviour

Gary Flanagan doesn't score that many goals, but when he does, their usually vital scores, at vital times in epic encounters.
Like 2006 when he scored the winning goal in the Junior Championship Final against Milltown, Flanagan did it again, this time against Tubberclair in Cusack Park to give Caulry a one point win, on a score of 2-11 to 1-13.

This win now puts Caulry through the Final of the Intermediate Championship, for the first time in 20 years, when Captained by Aidan Dunning, they were unfortunate to be beaten by Killucan by two points (see picture and team below).

Caulry have also reached the Intermediate Championship Final in 1946, 1958, 1969, 1973 and 1978.

Three times Intermediate Champions in 1946, 1969 and 1985, can this new breed of Caulry players put themselves in the history books?
We'll find out on Sunday 7th of October when they take on Castletown F/C/W in the Final.
