Intermediate Championship - Semi-Final Spot up for Grabs
Caulry Intermediates will bid for an automatic Semi-final spot in this year's Championship when they take on Milltownpass in the fifth and final round-robin game in Cusack Park this Friday evening ( August 30th) at 7pm. Having already been guaranteed a Quarter-final spot this head-to-head clash with Milltownpass will decide which of these two teams will claim a coveted Semi-final place. A large local support is expected for this game.
Under 21 Championship Quarter-Final
St Lomans 3-17 Caulry 2-7
A much stronger St Lomans outfit came away with the spoils in a Quarter-Final tie played in Lakeland Park, Mullingar last Friday evening. Although behind by five points at half-time and having missed several good scoring opportunities Caulry were still well in the game up until the final quarter when the physically stronger St Lomans side pulled away for an easy win. This is a very young Caulry side with fourteen of the starting fifteen eligable again next year in this grade.

Under 12  Rosemount Tournament
Caulry 2-9 Rosemount 1-1
Playing some excellent football in Rosemount on Wednesday evening last,  Caulry Under 12’s had  a comprehensive victory over a game Garrycastle side. Despite playing into the stiff breeze, Caulry were five points to the good thanks to excellent shooting from Adam Donoghue and Luke Buckley. Two well worked and expertly finished goals from Olan Healy and Oisin Murphy put a serious dent in the threatened Garrycastle comeback just before half-time. Although the second half was more evenly balanced, the boys in red and white had done enough in the opening period to secure a final meeting with Tubberclair on this coming Wednesday.
Team & Scorers: James Clavin, Ciarian Gaynor, Glen Carolan, Danial Buckley, Colm Shortall, James Carey, Zach Nolan, Thomas Dunning (0-1), Rory Mullins, Luke Buckley (0-3), Olan Healy (1-0), Oisin Murphy (1-0), Roan Sweeney (0-1), Adam Donoghue (0-5), Conor McKnight, Senan Baker, Lee-Roy Coughlan, Charlie Malone, Padraig Murphy, Shane Hynes.
