Caulry take Junior title

Caulry – 2-6 
St. Paul ’s – 0-2 

Caulry Junior team created their own bit of history at Rochfortbridge on Sunday, when they won the Westmeath Junior B Championship and thus brought a second major Championship to the club in one year. 

St. Paul ’s opened the scoring in the 21st minutes, but Caulry replied with a quick point from midfielder Mick Woods, who was having a great game. Mick Moriarty showed his versatility when he crashed the ball to the net for a fine individual goal. 
St. Paul ’s got their second point and final score of the game ten minutes after the restart. Mick Woods had two fine points and Seamus Allen added another. Then Larry Nugent rounded the defenders to give the keeper no chance. Allen added another point. The last score of the game came from Mick Woods when he waltzed through the defence for a point to earn him the man of the match award for his all round display.
